 Julie Benz is an American actress who has a net worth of $4 million. Julie Benz is most well-known for her role in the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel" and "Dexter." She also appeared on several other shows such as "Roswell," "A Gifted Man," "Defiance," and the remake of "Hawaii Five-0." Benz was seen in films such as "Jawbreaker", "Punisher War Zone," and even "Nocturne" on the big screen. Julie Benz was the daughter of Joanne, the figure skater, and George who was surgeon. She grew up in Murrysville and attended Franklin Regional High School. Through the influence of her mother, Benz began ice skating as a young age and participated at the 1988 US Championships in junior ice dancing. Together with her skating partner David Schilling, she came in 13th spot. At the age of 14, Benz had to quit her skating career in figure after experiencing a stress fracture on her leg.With her skating career in the rearview mirror Benz began to get involved in local theater and was featured in the play "Street Law." In 1990, she made her feature film debut with a small part in the anthology horror film "Two Evil Eyes." Benz pursued her studies at New York University in acting.
