Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past along with traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos, opera, and the various forms of dramatic performing. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started intensifying her vocal instruction with Flavio Belcerra in the age of 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young student and professional. After 2000, she moved back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2007, she relocated to her current home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She's involved in numerous local activities, both a teacher and performer, due to her passion for the arts and music. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her singing music from Latin American traditional songs, she can instill a passion, particularly for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
