Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. After moving to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma enrolled at the Dragon School. Emma's ambition was to become an actor. When she was 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and took lessons in acting, singing as well as dancing. At the age of 10, Emma had taken part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the film adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was found by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's film debut coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was the highest-grossing film of 2001 The film broke records in its first day sales as well as the opening weekend's earnings. Film critics praised the film as well as its performances by the three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the film.
